PBP would end contracting-out of services within the NHS, just as it would end contracting-out of local council services.

PBP is totally committed to the core principles of the NHS. These principles cannot be maintained if the breakup of the NHS and introduction of the market, that was begun by Labour, is not reversed. The responsibility for ensuring that everyone gets the healthcare that they need must remain with the Government, a responsibility which Andrew Lansley's bill would remove.
Profits for big corporations are completely incompatible with providing a National Health Service based on the core principles. The US-style healthcare system that the Con-Dems are trying to introduce would benefit big corporations and their political allies, but no one else.
PBP would cancel all interest payments on Private Finance Initiative (PFI) projects. Far too much of the NHS budget has already been poured into this corrupt system whereby public money is guaranteed to private companies at ludicrous rates of interest instead of being spent on healthcare. The private companies should be paid no more in total than would have been spent directly by the NHS on the same projects, and all future projects should be carried out directly by the NHS.
